Aluminium 3003 Square Bars are primarily made up of aluminium (around 98.6%), along with manganese (1.0–1.5%) and trace amounts of copper and iron. While this alloy isn’t heat-treatable, it can be cold-worked to enhance its strength. Typically, these bars provide a tensile strength ranging from 130 to 200 MPa, a yield strength of about 115 MPa, and good ductility with elongation between 10% and 20%. They are known for their excellent corrosion resistance, especially in atmospheric and marine environments. Aluminium 3003 also stands out for its great formability and moderate machinability, making it ideal for applications that require light to moderate strength and dependable performance.
