Aluminium 6061 Chequered Plates consist mainly of aluminium, with alloying components such as 1.0–1.5% magnesium (Mg), 0.4–0.8% silicon (Si), and trace traces of copper, iron, and chromium. The balanced composition provides excellent corrosion resistance, machinability, and weldability. The alloy presents excellent mechanical properties with a tensile strength ranging from 290–310 MPa, yield strength of approximately 240 MPa, and elongation of 12–17%. Super-light but extremely hard-wearing, plates of 6061 are stable in terms of structure under stress and do not wear quickly, proving well-suited for processes demanding strength and long-lasting dependability.
